An adorable dog that was abandoned and left to ᴅɪᴇ has mastered the art of walking on four legs.
Putol was born with no legs other than her front legs, but she never let that stop her. The six-year-old, as seen in this adorable image, has learned to run extremely fast on his front legs with the help of his new owner, Danilo Codilego Jr.
Putol, in the Tagalog dialect of Luzon, Philippines, which literally means “ᴄʜᴏᴘ,” is often spotted racing and exploring the gutters and alleyways of Quezon City’s Casiguran district with other dogs.
Let us think for a moment about the fact that this poor girl has been called “ᴄᴜᴛ ᴀɴᴅ sʟᴀsʜᴇᴅ”. A name that is both cute and annoying at the same time.
The puppy is a big draw in the neighborhood even though she has a dubious reputation for her bravery and love of life.
Danilo, a local truck driver, commented: “We first met six years ago. I was a baker’s assistant at the time. One day, a colleague brought four dogs. children come in. He’s trying to sell each for 5000 pesos. (£115/$151).”
No one wanted Putol, the poor two-legged dog, but the other puppies were sold. They didn’t think she would live long. The only one with the strength to take care of her is Danilo. Putol is the only option we have in mind.
For the first two years of her life, Putol was unable to walk, but she eventually mastered the skill by gradually learning to balance on her front legs. Now she watches over the land and fiercely protects her master.
“Putol behaves like a guard dog, barking when strangers approach,” says Danilo. She also gets jealous when I focus on another dog. She’s a nice and well-liked community member, except for that.
Everyone takes care of her so she doesn’t have much of a problem. She is not picky. She likes what we eat. However, because of her illness, she was unable to give birth.
We think she’s too busy having fun to think about puppies!
