Not all dogs are allowed into shops or buildings, but when they have to wait outside in the freezing cold, it’s an absolutely heartbreaking thing to witness. The animals were left outside, waiting for their owners while they were trembling and helpless, and there was really no one around to help them.
Kristina Hollie and her colleague were waiting for a bus at Harvard Square in Cambridge, Massachusetts when they spotted an adorable dog running errands with her mother. His mom was getting ready to go into the post office and sadly couldn’t bring the puppy inside. She started ᴛɪᴇ he went to a tree and what she did next warmed the hearts of followers.
Hollie said: “It was very cold and windy. I noticed that he was visibly shaking. She also obviously noticed as she immediately took off her coat and covered the dog when it sat. She probably thought he was going to kick it out, so she bent down and zipped it around him!” The dog sat completely still as her mother put her coat on, excited to be wearing something warm.
Obviously the woman would bring her dog indoors if she could, and since that’s not possible she wants to make sure it’s as comfortable as possible until she gets back, even if she doesn’t. He was only gone for a few minutes.
Hollie said: “As soon as she got up and walked past me, I told her what she was doing was incredibly sweet and caring. She just replied, ‘Thank you! I don’t want him to get cold!’” Sitting on the sidewalk in his coat, the adorable puppy attracted a lot of attention as people couldn’t resist stopping to take a photo or comment on it. It’s a comfortable jacket. She added: “I saw two or three other people walking past him and remarked that he looked so cute and so warm.” Hollie’s bus finally arrived. When she got into the car, she turned to look at the puppy in the coat, proudly sitting on the sidewalk in her outfit, waiting for his mother, who loved him enough to give him the coat she took off behind her back.
