We received a call that a dog was suffering from a bulge on his neck – and discovered that it was a giant ᴀʙsᴄᴇss – an ɪɴꜰᴇᴄᴛɪᴏɴ beneath the skin near the throat that was ꜰɪʟʟᴇᴅ ᴡɪᴛʜ ᴘᴜs. She’s thin and haggard, debilitated as her body tries to fight off a ᴛᴇʀʀɪʙʟᴇ ɪɴꜰᴇᴄᴛɪᴏɴ, while also taking care of the puppies.
When Animal Aid Unlimited, India, came to her aid, they discovered the bulge was “a giant ᴀʙsᴄᴇss – an ɪɴꜰᴇᴄᴛɪᴏɴ beneath the skin near the throat ꜰɪʟʟᴇᴅ ᴡɪᴛʜ ᴘᴜs.”
We picked her up and took her back to our hospital and her eyes looked at us trustingly as we arrived.
A sick street dog is trying to take care of her puppies while battling a ᴛᴇʀʀɪʙʟᴇ ɪɴꜰᴇᴄᴛɪᴏɴ that causes her neck to swell.
Within hours of the procedure, she was well fed and on the road to recovery, now neutered and vaccinated and busy raising her young, mother dog Molly is back on her feet. and can breastfeed after a few days of test
Molly has made an amazing recovery, she is fully recovered and taking care of her children is a mother who has overcome illness with great energy and strength.
In the beginning there are still dogs who are not as lucky as Molly but hopefully all the best for them. We believe so!
