Shelter Dog Makes His Bed Each Day As He Waits To Be Loved

This lonely dog is so desperate to find a permanent home, he’s willing to do whatever it takes to show what a good housemate he will be

It’s hard to imagine how sad it must be to languish in an animal shelter hoping to become someone’s beloved pet.

But the pit bull Rush seems to have found a way to cope until that day arrives. Staff at the Stray Animal Condition Improvement Association (SICSA) in Kettering, Ohio, says the 1-year-old puppy has developed a sweet little tradition of keeping his cold kennel warm with a little more worship.

“Rush” makes beds every day at an animal shelter while waiting for a family to adopt, SICSA wrote on Facebook. “He’s been waiting for more than 30 days.”

Rush first arrived at the shelter when he was just a puppy, initially saved when he got lost. While his bed-making skills have earned him the love of hundreds of online animal lovers, he still hasn’t found what he needs most – a bed of his own, in a family home the family loves him.
