Rescuing A Dog From A Lake In Lytham After Being Trapped In The Water Overnight

The dog, a German Shepherd, was seen clinging to the shores of Lake Fairhaven early this morning (March 25). Rescuing a dog  from a lake near Lytham after being submerged in the night. Lancashire Police arrived and rescued the dog, along with the Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service and the support of the public. The dog is safe and healthy and has been handed over to the local safe neighborhood RSPCA.

The dog is in the care of a Veterinary Medical Center and owners will need to provide proof that the dog is indeed theirs. Rescuing a dog, Police said they will also conduct investigations around the lake to try to track down the dog’s owner. They have issued an appeal for the information. A spokesman for Fylde Police said: “We are aware of an incident that has gone viral on social media of a dog (German Shepherd) who became trapped in the water in Lake Fairhaven this morning and had been in the water all night. I can confirm that the dog was rescued by our colleagues from Lancs Fire & Rescue along with several members of the public, which is a great result!”

The dog is in the care of the Veterinary Medical Center and the dog’s owner will have to provide proof The dog is now safe and healthy and in the hands of the local RSPCA. In an attempt to identify the dog’s owner, we will be conducting a CCTV search in the lake area to see if the owner of this dog can be traced.
