This is Fido’s, The World’s First Tap House, Where You Can Drink Beer And Meet Adopted Dogs

The bar was founded by Scott Porter, who devoted much of his time to helping dogs in need. Sounds like the perfect place for dog lovers

Fido’s Taphouse doesn’t just serve food and drink, they give disadvantaged dogs a new chance at life. At Fido’s, you can enjoy a great meal while spending time with some adorable rescue pups.

Fido’s partners with Oregon Friends Of Shelter Animals, OFOSA, whose mission is “to save as many adoptable homeless animals as possible, restore them to health, and find them forever loving homes forever”

Fido’s typically has 4-8 on-site adoptable dogs from OFOSA. Patrons can play with the dogs in the bar’s “day room” and can also apply for a dog adoption.

It costs $4 for a 30-minute play session with the puppies and the money goes to cover expenses and support charities.

For those looking to adopt one of the dogs, there will be a short waiting period to make sure they are sure they want and can adopt.

They also need to bring the family to see the dog to make sure they will be a good fit.

To date, more than 70 dogs have been adopted by Fido’s. On their Facebook and Instagram, Fido posts posts about their new adopted dogs, successful adoptions and of course their delicious food.

Fido often partners with various charities, organizing free events and promoting their mission. They also regularly donate to charity.

Fido’s Taphouse is truly like every dog lover’s dream pub. Nothing makes a meal more delicious than knowing that you are contributing to the welfare of dogs in need.

Fido’s is doing a great job and will continue to put these miserable dogs in loving homes.

Fido’s Taphouse certainly sounds like a great place to spend some time and chat, knowing you’re helping to do something charitable.
