The poor dog was discovered by a passerby after the black mixture dried and became solid, leaving the desperate dog in a critical situation.
Rescuers found the dog’s body covered in a solid layer of plastic.
The witness called for the help of Animal Aid charity in the city of Udaipur, India. Rescuers rubbed the puppy with vegetable oil to clear the tar for about four hours before sending him back to the shelter.
The puppy just lay still with its eyes wide open as rescuers used vegetable oil to remove the deadly tar.
The transformation is remarkable and the puppy is playing and eating junk food after being saved from a horrible ᴅᴇᴀᴛʜ.
Tar Baby has recovered well at the shelter with the other dogs and is set to be adopted.
