This 13-Year-Old Boy Walked 2 Miles Just To Save A D.ʏɪɴɢ Puppy

One day, a South African 13 year old from Delft, one of the poorest communities in Cape Town, walked a whole 2 miles on his own to save his pup.

He noticed that his dog stopped eating and started having ʙʟᴏᴏᴅʏ ᴅɪᴀʀʀʜᴇᴀ, so he stepped up and went out to find help.
He found it at Tin Can Town, an animal rescue that helps local dogs and cats. “She was very thin and the boy told us he didn’t have enough money for food for her,” Stöckigt who works at a rescue organization told. “We told him we would do our best to save her life, and find her a new loving home that can take care of her. We thanked him for bringing her to us for help.”

He walked 2 miles into town to an animal rescue that helps care for local dogs and cats. A worker from the rescue organization called Stöckigt said: “She was very thin and the boy told us he didn’t have enough money for food for her. We told him we would do our best to save her life, and find her a new loving home that can take care of her. We thanked him for bringing her to us for help.”

They named the doggie Nanuk and put her on a drip. It turned out that the pooch had ᴘᴀʀᴠᴏ ᴠɪʀᴜs, which can be ʟᴇᴛʜᴀʟ if untreated. If she wasn’t going to eat, there would be no hope for her.

The rescuers would cheer her up with the visits from foster kitties and, on the sixth day, Nanuk got better.
“I think it is a combination of the kittens, having one of us by her side the whole time giving her love and encouragement…” Stöckigt said. The rescuers are on the look for a loving forever home for Nanuk.
