The Woman Devoted Her Life To Taking Care Of Mᴀʟɴᴏᴜʀɪsʜᴇᴅ And Sick Puppies Living In The Graveyard.

A woman is touching thousands of animal lovers with her service to hungry and sick puppies living in a cemetery in the Philippines. Places that impress us with their color and beauty, they have a tranquility that simply transports us to another dimension.

There are places that do not impress us because they are an earthly paradise, but make our souls anxious and miserable when witnessing desolation, hunger and pain.

This is the case of the Sarhento Mariano Cemetery, in Manila, Philippines. In this place not only the bodies of those who have left to another dimension, poor families also live by using the stone of the tomb as roof and wall to protect themselves from the sun’s rays.

As if that wasn’t enough to surprise us, these low-income families are not alone, they also have about 150 dogs with them. It’s amazing to see how they can treat this place as a place to live.

These dogs are ᴏᴘᴘʀᴇssᴇᴅ, desperate because of hunger and disease. Many of them suffer from a condition called sarcoptic mange, which gradually leaves their skin exposed as they lose hair.

Ashley Fruno, founder of local rescue group Pasay Pups, when she discovered the place a few years ago, was shocked by the images she saw. She couldn’t figure out how to describe the situation, it was like something out of a ʜᴏʀʀᴏʀ movie.

Ashley and her team of volunteers have spared no effort to bring a little joy to dogs who are living in a series of ᴍɪsᴇʀᴀʙʟᴇ days. This noble woman every day before sunrise and the heat becomes unbearable, she walks her dog.

This is a very warm place, they commented that if a breeze blew through the Sarhento Mariano cemetery, it was most likely due to the movement of the tails of the dogs that were welcoming when this angel arrived.

Dogs ran to meet them, they emerged from under the stone monuments, jumping for joy.

They know they will find the food, wellness, and love they desperately need. Thanks to this group of volunteers working at this local shelter, there was a castration program.

The care these dogs receive has resulted in many of them having regenerated skin. Ashley’s quest doesn’t end with these dogs, many of whom have pets claimed by the families who live with them.

Ashley explains that in the Philippines, the concept of ownership applies to dogs very broadly. It does not regulate or require liability for pets. The owner can feed the dog once a week and let the pet live around the house. Most of these animals are set free and roam the streets in search of food.

Ashley thinks the best way to help is to raise awareness in the community by reinforcing the efforts of young people.

Children should be involved, they are most likely to learn, and from this learning, it is easier for parents or adults to reach.

That’s why all the volunteer staff at the Pasay Pups shelter work to educate the community on how to care for dogs.

We applaud the work of this amazing woman and her team, without a doubt, the heart and love they have for these animals is overflowing.

Please contribute to this work done by Pasay Pups and the family of these canine friends to have a better life, it is really important to help raise awareness of how to treat and take responsibility. Our responsibility to our pets, they are creatures that feel pain and deserve love and care.
