The Mystery Of A Snake With Two Legs

On the Snake Identification Help Forum Facebook group, a group where members share images of snakes to help each other identify their names. Ompoetse Dorlkid Ntema posted the following two photos.

The snake’s legs?

We all know that snakes are legless reptiles (although their ancestors were prehistoric Eupodophis Descouensi in the Cretaceous period with legs) but why did the snake have such ‘legs’? Snakes are actually very famous snakes because of their powerful toxins, they are also one of the most unique land snakes in the world: the Black Mamba (Dendroaspis Polylepis). It is a ᴠᴇɴᴏᴍous snake endemic to sub-Saharan Africa.

Their name is derived from the color of the mouth rather than the color of the mouth, their ʙɪᴛᴇ is dubbed the ‘kiss of .d.e.a.t.h’ because the ᴠᴇɴᴏᴍ of this snake is three times the ᴠᴇɴᴏᴍ of the African cobra (Cape Cobra), 5 times the king cobra and 40 times the Gaboon green tiger. The victim will be ᴘᴀʀᴀʟʏᴢᴇᴅ after 45 minutes of ʙɪᴛᴇ if not treated promptly and immediately after because of the powerful nerve ᴛᴏxɪɴ of Black Mamba. Even more frightening is that this ᴠᴇɴᴏᴍous snake is one of the fastest-moving snakes (20 km/h).

So the black mamba has no legs, why does the snake have this part? The reason is simple, the snake’s ‘legs’ are not… are the legs that are their two half-for-alls. Each snake will have two semi-bulbs and they look quite similar to their legs because there are many spikes that protrude like toenails.

Two semi-aues of a rattlesnake. It is an external sine organ of scaly reptiles such as lizards, snakes and worm lizards, etc. When normal, this part will be kept in an outward state, located in the hole in the hole in the hole. Only when ᴍᴀᴛᴇᴅ will it be revealed by the…the creature that uses semi-residuals will transmit… through a groove with a tubular structure. Each time they have s.e.x, they only use one party selling…and will take turns using both sides.
