Every year there is a Dog Festival in China, poor heartbroken dogs are ʙʀᴜᴛᴀʟʟʏ beaten and kept in terrible conditions. People around the world expressed anger at how wrong it is for the festival to continue.

Now, the image of a heartbroken dog that appears to have been tortured and cry ‘ʙʟᴏᴏᴅʏ’ after being brutally beaten by meat traders in China is going viral, the injured dog has gone viral was taken to an abattoir in China, an illegal slaughterhouse, along with five other dogs, and all of them were kept in a filthy cage. Some of these dogs were once pets.

“They were beaten by dog traffickers and had wounds all over their bodies,” said Du Yufeng, founder of an animal welfare center. She shared heartbreaking images of dogs crammed in cages, one of the dogs howling to be free and another sitting as if it had given up all hope.

The dog appeared to have dried blood on its face from being brutally beaten by the butchers. According to Ms. Du, police were alerted by animal lovers, who had apparently gathered information from online chat groups. The man who was asked about bringing in the dogs could not answer where he’d heard it or where he got the dogs that he considers his pets. The dogs are currently at the Bo Ai Animal Welfare Center, Ms. Du shelter in Quang Nguyen.
