Tᴇʀʀɪʙʟᴇʟʏ Aʙᴜsᴇᴅ Dog Deserves Every Second In A Healing Bath

Rudy the Pit Bull deserves a relaxing bath if anyone ever does. In ill health and found abandoned in a plastic bucket, he arrived at a shelter in New York City in November. His skin was already ruined, with perhaps terrible scars. It was from battery acid burns and multiple cigarette burns and he had almost no hair left.

Due to a severe ʙʀᴏᴋᴇɴ front limb, he was also unable to walk. He went undetected with Cushing’s disease, adding to his already very difficult situation. The Northeast branch of the Special Needs Animal Rescue Rehabilitation Service (SNARR) was contacted by the local animal shelter for assistance and its director, Courtney Bellew, came to the rescue.

Even though Courtney was used to taking care of critically ill animals, when she saw Rudy, her heart was still broken. According to her statement to the Huffington Post, his front leg was in such bad shape that she objected to having it photographed.

Rudy also experienced emotional distress. “It’s a miracle that this ᴅᴇᴠᴀsᴛᴀᴛᴇᴅ boy is still alive.” Aside from being absolutely terrified and terrified at the slightest human touch, Rudy was grateful and nothing more than a love bug as soon as we saved him. Rudy received one of his unique spa treatments, which help heal skin and hair, which has been published by charity.

Fortunately, because his foster parents are veterinarians, they can provide him with all the medical care he needs to heal. Also, they have a magnificent ranch house in New England where he can find love and a place to heal his spirit. Children, dogs, cats and farm animals like Harold the sheep fill his days with friends.

Rudy has a way of capturing your heart instantly when he looks at you because “his eyes are filled with love and optimism”. He always loved to be pampered and he continues to do so today, as you saw when he went to the spa. I’m glad we were able to provide him with a decent life.

And they continued to prove to him how good life is until he passed away. I learned from an update to the original post above that Rudy recently left due to complications with his spine condition. Before he left, SNARR gave Rudy all the attention he could muster. I am so glad that Rudy was able to spend his last weeks in love.

Tell your friends about Rudy’s story to support this brave and loving dog!
