Sick Dog Tᴏssᴇᴅ In Landfill For Being “Usᴇʟᴇss”, Bᴜʀɪᴇᴅ In Trash & Waits To Dɪᴇ.

Kratos is an 8-year-old Kangal Shepherd who was found severely emaciated at a deserted dump in Corum, Turkey.

The abandoned dog was not only severely malnourished, but also dehydrated and lost all of its hair due to the numerous sores that covered its body. Volunteers from “Rescuers Without Borders” discovered Kratos lying dead in a mud pit in a toxic dump on an icy day.

They were heartbroken when they saw the defeated look on the dog’s face, as he clearly believed he had a loving family before ending up in the wasteland. Unfortunately, Kratos’ story is not uncommon in Turkey. In the past few months, animal activists have rescued more than 800 dogs from different landfills.

Many dogs died before they could get help. According to rescuers, owners often abandon their dogs when they become old, sick, or when they are no longer needed for “work”. Hundreds of “junk” dogs have been rescued so far. These dogs are always friendly and ready to please everyone, despite their unfortunate circumstances.

However, the mission to help the dogs at the dump has been slowed down because each dog rescue costs between $800 and $2,000. The staff said that Kratos’ recovery was slow due to his weakened immune system, but he should make a full recovery in about two months.

His fur has grown back and when he’s fully recovered, he’ll be ready for his permanent home. Honey, get well soon!
