‘Otter’ Cat Without Helmet After Successful Brain Sᴜʀɢᴇʀʏ

Otter, a cat must wear a cute helmet to protect his cat. Otter and his Bunny siblings face an uncertain future as those rescued are born with missing limbs and Otters have large heads (ʜʏᴅʀᴏᴄᴇᴘʜᴀʟᴜs).

Both are born with overflowing charm as you can see. Otter on the left and Bunny on the right. Otters often wear scarves to protect their noggins.

Thanks to LA’s Kitten Rescue program and the kind designer Bruce who created his helmet, Otter’s flimsy helmet was protected until he was ready for Sᴜʀɢᴇʀʏ.

Since the Otter and Rabbit were taken care of, they have been loved by thousands of people. Both kittens have grown and grown strong thanks to dedicated rescuers, veterinary professionals and donations to substantial expenses.

Finally, the day of Otter’s Sᴜʀɢᴇʀʏ arrived, and everyone held their breath. Experts will place a titanium mesh to protect the Otter’s brain.

It was a huge relief to rescuers and everyone else when the Otter survived and returned home with a “Mohawk-like” ɪɴᴄɪsɪᴏɴ. However, he still hadn’t come out of the forest when he returned home to recuperate and put on his helmet. Otter’s favorite place is to lie on your feet and purr. He needs to sleep right next to you all night. He’s such a sweet boy.

Soon after, Baby Kitten Rescue and Metropolitan Animal Specialist Hospital (MASH) shared a great update on the Otter. After 1.5 months, he is doing very well and it looks like he hasn’t had any brain Sᴜʀɢᴇʀʏ! Thanks to how well he recovered, he was not wearing a helmet and was able to enjoy life unhindered.

Today, the Otter has a titanium skull that resembles a cat superhero. After an MRI scan, doctors discovered the Otter’s brain looked “healthy and normal” but had a protrusion containing cerebrospinal fluid and meninges, the protective membranes. Therefore, it is technically called an encephalocele.

They were also happy to learn that the Otter no longer had hydrocephalus, no more excess fluid in the brain. They suggest that this impressive recovery may have something to do with Silicea’s homeopathic cure. However, the FDA has not confirmed its effectiveness.

“Otters are doing GREAT!! It’s been 1.5 months since he had brain Sᴜʀɢᴇʀʏ, and I was amazed at how quickly and easily he recovered. Otters no longer have to wear helmets because they now have a titanium skull! He is the happiest boy with a love of life and everyone in it. He loves climbing cat trees (something he’s never been allowed to do before) and lying in a hammock.”

Even though the Otter underwent such a complicated brain Sᴜʀɢᴇʀʏ, it had no complications, which is amazing.

“It is unbelievable that the Otter has never experienced any neurological symptoms and is a testament to Dr O’Neill and the talented staff at MASH that advanced and delicate brain Sᴜʀɢᴇʀʏ His operation went smoothly and without complications.

Finally, the Otter can become a happy cat and his family need not worry anymore. Otters are happy and recovering

We are VERY grateful to Dr O’Neill and the wonderful staff at MASH who took such great care of our Sweet Otter!! He will now live a long, fulfilling life and will never have to worry about  ɪɴᴊᴜʀʏ or ʙʀᴀɪɴ ɪɴꜰᴇᴄᴛɪᴏɴ from exposure again!
