Homeless Dog Had To Use A Garbage Bag As A Bed

Almost two years ago, Stella didn’t have a real home. She uses anything she can find to sleep and even trash bags. The stray has a lot of love to give if someone gives her a chance.

After that, the 1-year-old girl’s luck changed for the better, and that was evident in her amazing transformation.

Heather Martin is looking to add a new hairy member to her family when she learns about Stella and knows they must meet.

“A colleague told me about Pooches Out of Puerto Rico, so my husband and I took a look at them,” says Martin. “We fell in love with Stella immediately when we saw her.”

Martin wanted the “cute, sweet, playful, curious, sun-loving superhero” to be part of her family right away, but Stella needed veterinary care first.

Martin said: “ Stella was left in a dumpster and somehow survived sleeping on trash bags and eating whatever she could find. She has sᴄᴀʙɪᴇs, roundworms, hookworms and sᴄᴀʙɪᴇs. She weighed only 9 pounds when they rescued her.”

After Stella received medical treatment, she was allowed to go to her new home. With Martin’s love, the once homeless dog’s appearance has completely changed.

This experience led to the adoption of another dog from the rescue, a dog named Lulu so that Stella had a sibling to grow up with. And Stella’s “cuddly” personality brought a new hope to Martin’s life.

“Stella is a ray of sunshine,” Martin said. She knows when we need love and will cuddle us. She wants nothing but love and is truly perfect.
