When Dr. Karri, an experienced veterinarian at Vet Ranch Veterinary Clinic, saw Violet, a small dog with multiple ʙɪᴛᴇs and purple fur, she was deeply saddened. Violet’s owner claims that she was mauled by a dog larger than her when she abandoned her for ᴇᴜᴛʜᴀɴᴀsɪᴀ.
Many bait dogs are known to have been dyed purple before being used to train dogs to fight. On the other hand, Violet’s owner attributed the purple color of her fur to a purple wound spray that was applied to her shortly after she was assaulted. However, the wound that festered for weeks due to medical negligence brought Violet to the brink of ᴅᴇᴀᴛʜ.
Dr. Karri explains the intensive medical procedure she performed on Violet. The vet treated Violet’s infection and abscess with severe pain medication and antibiotics as she went through a difficult treatment. After 12 days of continuous follow-up, Violet was finally free of necrosis!
After seeing Violet’s dejected and defeated expression at first, it was gratifying to see the dog happily run to the end. Once in Dr. Karri’s arms, she could hardly contain her grateful smile!
Violet was adopted shortly after making a full recovery. She shares a house with her new mom, Kelly, and her little Jack Russell sister, Peanut, who is about the same size as her! Thank you Dr. Karri for making Violet’s life better!
