When the Kramer family first adopted a small Pit Bull puppy named Libra, he was just a tiny puppy. The adorable dog quickly formed a boundless love for the family’s 8-year-old daughter, April. Over time, Libra gradually becomes the best friend of the adorable kitten Maxwell.
After a long struggle, April has grown and Libra has become a trusted ally of hers. But after accompanying his sister for 15 happy years, Libra senior’s health began to deteriorate.
Her problems began with several severe convulsions, which eventually led to the discovery of a ᴄᴀɴᴄᴇʀᴏᴜs ʟᴜɴɢ ᴛᴜᴍᴏʀ. After many veterinary examinations, it was clear that Libra was very upset and did not have much time left.
April wanted to give Libra a gift, Krampuses intended her life to be over as quickly as possible and they didn’t want her to suffer for long. When April’s ailing dog’s bladder quickly failed and caused him great pain, the family decided it was time to face reality. However, there is one more thing April wants to do for Libra to appreciate her undying love.
Libra has always liked to ride a car. As a result, April decided to pull down the window and allow Libra to enjoy her favorite pastime during the last car trip to the vet. The ailing dog seemed at ease for the next 30 minutes as he enjoyed the breeze and closed his eyes appreciating the last passing views.
Libra has passed through the rainbow, and her spirit is free from pain. The painting depicting Libra’s last trip and journey in April pays homage to the sweet memory of her proudest childhood best friend. Rest in peace, sweet Libra.
