Dog Family Spends Days Inside An Abandoned House Waiting For Someone To Find Them

Dogs are mostly born with wonderful hearts. No matter how bad their situations are, they are still affectionate and compassionate creatures who will never let anybody down. Arnia is one of the sweetest dogs in this world. This little dog was living in an abandoned house, on the streets, and was in very bad shape when we rescued him.

When Donna Lochmann got a call about a distressed dog in the basement of an abandoned house, she knew she had to check it out immediately. What she didn’t know was that there was an entire little family there waiting for someone to help them.

“As soon as we got out of the car, we could hear multiple babies crying,” Lochmann, a chief life-saving officer at Stray Rescue of St. Louis, said.

Lochmann followed the cries to the basement and found three scared puppies, around 6 weeks old, yelping to be noticed.
She used to live in the yard of a rundown garage in Romania with some other dogs who were all starᴠɪɴɢ just like her, but none of them became mad or aggressɪᴠᴇ towards others.

Lochmann brought all the puppies to her Jeep and made sure they were safe before going back in to search for their mom. This time, she find mama’s dog.

” That day, we got eight puppies total and their mama off the streets,” Lochmann said.

Lochmann brought the mama dog, whom she named Windy Day, and her pups to the shelter for care.

The dog is slowly but surely recovering, and the “Do Good” animal protection society took over the custody of Rada. 8 Windy Day sons are already 2 – 3 years old, and playful. She loves to run around and plays with her favorite humans, she can find joy and fun in the most ordinary things, and she is really lovely and gentle with other dogs.

The first three puppies went into foster care with Lochmann, and the remaining five found foster homes shortly after arriving at the shelter. Their mama, Windy Day, is still waiting for a family to scoop her up and love her.

“I’m hoping that somebody will take her soon,” Lochmann said. “She’s super sweet.”
