Mama Clue was found outside the house of an elderly couple. When the couple’s son visited, he observed the adorable cat with scaly eyes. He follows her trail to her resting lair, where he discovers three kittens waiting for her.
Mama Clue was well aware that she and her children needed help, and as soon as the opportunity came, she directed someone to them.
The man who found the small family contacted the Coastal Bend Cat Rescue Team, who quickly agreed to sponsor a veterinary visit for Mama Clue and her kittens. The rescue didn’t have an open foster home at the time, but they knew they couldn’t leave the family outside, so they quickly devised a plan to make it work.
At the time, Mama Clue was deemed to have an eye infection so severe that she just closed her eyes and she was given antibiotics. All three kittens had health problems that needed care and everyone was delighted that they were rescued in time. Once Mama Clue was settled in, her adoptive mother noticed that her eyes weren’t just infected – she had no normal eye tissue and was always completely blind.
However, she somehow managed to survive on her own and be a great mother to her children, including making sure they were found and taken to a safe place. The whole family is named after the board games: Mama Clue, Candyland, Monopoly and Chutes and Ladders. All the kittens started to heal right away and Mama Clue has continued to prove time and time again that she truly is the best mom ever.
Mama Clue is a wonderful mother, being completely blind doesn’t bother her, she is very protective of her children and loves having Kitty Kasa to keep her children safe. She will monitor her adoptive mother very closely as she takes the babies out of the herd for daily weighing and medication. Sometimes she was surprised when a baby meowed from a place she didn’t expect.
Mama Clue, aside from taking care of her children, is now caught off guard as she is safe in her foster home and has become the sweetest little thing. She loves scratching and rubbing her belly and is always delighted to see her adoptive mother when she walks into the room. Despite having spent her entire existence as an outdoor cat, she is happy to live in luxury and doesn’t want to go back.
The kittens and Mama Clue will be ready to find their happy home once they are old enough and recovered. They were enjoying life in the safety of the home that Mama Clue had chosen for them until then.
