Little Djibril was born at a zoo in Malaga, Spain but had to quickly learn to survive on his own after his mother Kika couldn’t take care of him.
He was ᴀʙᴀɴᴅᴏɴᴇᴅ by his mother in 2019, he found comfort in a cuddly toy monkey and its melting hearts around the internet. He was grateful for the keepers, but the baby chimp knew they weren’t able to give him the things he truly needed. He loved to stay beside his cuddly toy monkey because it could remind him of his mother and make him feel like mom was staying with him.

The tiny monkey has been rehomed with his adoptive mum, Eva, in an animal park in Valencia.
Keepers had to be stand-in parents for the little one while searching for an adoptive mother who would raise him as her own

Now, one year since his adoption, Djibril totally enjoys his new family.
