This is Ayla and she was 2.5 months old when Krista found her, and we can’t describe the ᴘᴀɪɴ she was going through: hunger, thirst, sᴄᴀʙɪᴇs, shivering as she tried to crawl on the ground…
Krista took her to the local vet for a follow-up. According to the clinic’s examination results, Ayla’s general health was really bad. She’s definitely been eating ice for a while. It was another sign that she had a calcium deficiency, which resulted in ᴅᴇꜰᴏʀᴍɪᴛɪᴇs in both front legs, forcing Ayla to crawl on the ground, causing severe scratches and damage to herself over time.
Ayla is currently in the hospital and they are doing everything they can to heal her. Recovery can take up to three months with proper care, but most importantly she is now safe with Little Steps.
Fortunately, the X-ray results showed that Ayla had no ʙʀᴏᴋᴇɴ bones, which means she will have a better chance of walking in the future.
In addition to feeding, Ayla was also taken to sunbathe. She’s happier, though she’s still itchy from the ᴍᴀɴɢᴇ. Ayla is definitely the best patient right now.
Ayla was taken for a blood test the next day. Fortunately, there are no serious problems other than sᴄᴀʙɪᴇs and a lack of nutrients. Ayla was also given calcium supplements and bandages to help cover up her ᴅᴇꜰᴏʀᴍɪᴛɪᴇs.

She loves her little ball. A new toy to encourage her to walk. Ayla had to wear the bandages for almost a week.
