A Bug’s Life Sweet Kitten Born With One Eye And One Nostril Is In Shelter

Sweet kitten cuddly little “Bug” ran up and meowed in a woman’s driveway in the Orlando area. She seemed to be forever winking. The lonely 6-week-old sweet kitten has only one working eye, one nostril, and one cleft lip. At about 6 weeks old, she had a URI (upper respiratory tract infection), which can be made worse by difficulty breathing through one nostril.

Sweet kitten Bug chose the right person to turn to for help, as the thoughtful lady picked her up, took her inside, and gave her a cute name. She then contacted Ashley from Liberation Cat House, who was lucky enough to have the space to take over the Bug. For Ashley, the name Bug is a household name.

Ashley suspects that sweet kitten Bug was born a little differently, but the kitten is friendly, fearless, and full of kitten energy from the start. Ahsley wrote. “This little bug will need a vet visit for a thorough examination to determine if it needs any treatment.” As it turns out, bugs have some serious health issues. But she didn’t know she was any different. She has the strength of six kittens, standing on her hind legs to pounce on a toy.

She also became a star at the vet’s office, where she played as usual. She charms everyone who meets her. The kitten needed specialists after the vet discovered she also had a heart murmur and congenital eye disease. Helping her out will be costly, but she has won so many hearts and kind people have donated to help.

After the specialists examined her, they learned that she had a limited ventricular septal defect, commonly known as a “hole in the heart”. She also has an underdeveloped eye with cataracts. Amazingly, Ashley had a similar eye condition after caring for another kitten named Louie.

However, the prognosis for her long-term health is uncertain. When she’s ready to find a home, her family will need to be ready for lifelong health checks, medications, and the unknown. There is a lot of interest in the one-of-a-kind kitten, she will settle well into her new home and she loves other cats so she will be excited to meet her new sibling.
