A 13-year-old black and white cat will greet and dance for you when you visit Tabby’s Place these days. She has been named Sienna. Just read on and you will fall in love with this sweet girl.
When you walk into this particular cat sanctuary, this is likely what you’ll see a friendly furry friend running up to you. She was in the shelter for a while and everyone seemed to be walking past her, that’s when she came up with a unique way to get attention by scratching the glass wall hoping someone would want to. adopt her and give her a permanent home.
Sienna’s human passed away and so she was placed in a cat sanctuary in Ringoes, NJ.
“The staff and volunteers really like her because she always runs to the window when she hears someone passing. She misses her very much…she also has a lot to offer,” a Tabby’s Place volunteer wrote via reddit.
She gets very excited when she sees someone new at the shelter. As they passed her apartment, she drew their attention by leaning against the glass window with a grin on her face. If you sat with her, she would rub against friends and treat you as a friend.
She lives in an ‘apartment’ with a group of other cats. They even have a walkway that leads to a pipe that goes through the hallway so they can get out into the solarium. The shelter has 4 suites like this one and some smaller, quieter rooms. No cat lives alone and no cat lives in a cage, unless it is absolutely medically necessary. Even the CEO’s office has two kittens!
“The perfect home for her would be one with a fenced-in garden, with people who stay home a lot and have no problem with her special diet,” the volunteer said.
Sienna is still waiting to find her forever home. But in the meantime, she continues to smile brightly to everyone who visits, let’s hope she doesn’t have to wait too long.
